Position Overview:
As an FEA Engineer on the Design Analysis team you will be responsible for conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations to support the design and development of conventional marine internal combustion engines, drive systems, electrified propulsion and vessels. Essential Functions:

Conduct simulations using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as Abaqus, Ansys, and/or other similar commercial software’s of structural components and systems to reduce stress, maximize fatigue life, and minimize NVH.
Work closely with design and development engineers to help provide design inputs and perform trade-off studies that will improve the product. This includes evaluating different design options and assessing their impact on performance, weight, cost, and recommending the best solutions.
Partner with test engineers to specify testing and instrumentation needed to obtain analysis inputs and validate results. This includes designing test protocols, analyzing test data, and refining models based on empirical findings.
Work independently when needed to develop solutions and work well with cross-functional groups, including design, development, and manufacturing teams, to ensure seamless integration of analysis results into the product development cycle.
Document analysis findings and share the results with stakeholders. This includes preparing detailed reports, presenting findings in meetings, and providing recommendations.
Continuously seek opportunities for improving analysis processes, tools, and methodologies. This includes participating in training sessions, attending industry conferences, and collaborating with peers to share knowledge and best practices. This also involves assessing software capabilities, identifying gaps, and recommending upgrades or new tools.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
8+ years of related experience.
Understanding of statics, dynamics, engineering mechanics and materials.
Exposure to numerical methods and engineering analysis.
